just priced one, and while price is high, not as high as quoted on here, and if the trailer is as good as the sales pitch it is going to be worth serious consideration.
the fact it is nearly 300kgs lighter than my ifor makes a very interesting starting point

Saw one at the livestock event and was some good touches with it. But guess it's what you're used to(we run ifor) it didn't look like a stock box but like a container. Fairly hefty price tag!!

I reckon it is about 4k more than the equivalent ifor, although the spec is better on the Houghton.
Couple of things appeal.
weight about 300kgs lighter than my Ifor
All aluminium welded construction
low to ground so should reduce the CoG dramatically
can I justify it, well that is a different question, and over five years the reduced weight better suspension set up etc may just justify it.

I thought the Equivalent one with decks was 3-400kg heavier than ours which is quite a few lambs! Did seem low access.

macintosh is who we use and is a good dealer, always keed to beat any price you would get elsewhere and a really good service.
I am looking for a wheels on the side trailer, and don't really see nugent or graham Edwards etc bing better, just the same type but a good lot more expensive.
So I either have a major step change to the houghton or go ta510.

We put one in just behind the door which if carrying say bulls, pushes them back a bit over the axles, or we carry calves up front cows across the axles and few calves in the back or as ed, we split her in three equal sizes. We also use wheels underneath DP120

same here. if only moving one bull say, use the two gates to pen the beast up tight over the axles.
main thing is to keep the beasts tight so they aren't shifting their weigh around.
