Halls "Stone sale" near kidderminster was Friday and can have lot of gates that magically appear. Funny that the week before the sale a few go missing. How many farmers do you know that sell gates? Thieving gits

A few round here are painting psycadelic spray colour on one or two rails and ends which makes them easily identifiable if they are stolen. Seems to put off thieves as they stand out from the unmarked.

Yes, I've seen a few like that on the roadside, but these gates were hung inside a shed to divide it into four pens. The scrotes cut the supposedly hardened security chain off, and ignored half a dozen ordinary galv field gates , taking the very heavy duty ones out of a building. @solo when you say that things are sold out of sight, do you mean that they are not auctioned in the sale, but sold out of a truck in the car park?

All sold at auction but the local scrote colony is only about 2 mile away so who knows what contacts are made. Halls would have a job to sort genuine lots to be fair. A lot of stuff sold that looks of dubious origin as well as the genuine. When I went I could not understand why someone from South Wales would drive all that way to offload large numbers of second hand lawn mowers, strimmers etc unless they were hot. I have only been to the sale a couple of times but there were loads of dark haired characters there. I went looking for my own gates to no avail. There can be 100+ gates for sale I have been told. My gates were HD field gates which had sheep netting wrapped to them which was all undone and left with the cut off lock but neighbours 4 set of gates of the same size were untouched and could have been just lifted off. I suspect they were stolen for a job as yours probably were.

Spent my youth at stone sale, have several associate's from then who will steal to order,( but would not use the service myself) haven't been for a few years, but not many local rogues all away men. I used to live 2 mile away so am probably one of the scrote's from the local colony. My initial thoughts were those gates probably haven't moved more than a mile as the crow fly's, but that's probably the cynic in me.

In which particular direction do you suspect they have gone @BELOWAVERAGE ? Pm me if you prefer?
