An old mate of mine sent his dad off to a machinery sale many years ago.Was taking a 3 leg subsoiler to the sale with an old Zetor. Trouble is the hydraulic lever would gradually work it's way down over time.Chap didn't notice it dragging along the tarmac till the friction had worn through the points and up the legs.Had to return home with it, and rebuild it ready for the next sale.:(

Hot august day, I'm 19 and just going out on the road with my employers JD 3640 and 5 furrow KV plough. It's in transport mode, riding on the depth wheel with all the brand new points level and about 6 inches off the ground. I go over a hump in the road and all 5 pints carve a wave of Tarmac up and along the mouldboards in perfect furrows and dump them back on the road. You could see the scars for years!!

Driving down the village Main Street at 7am with a mounted sprayer on when I noticed in the mirror one of the booms had perfectly unfolded itself across the street . It hit one car on the boot , rode up over the roof & onto the bonnet . It belonged to a police man but luckily he wasn't bothered as it was an old banger anyway .

If you were spraying Crystal and the car was orange you could have just reversed with the jets on for a quick respray. He might never have noticed.

Think my 1st proper o fudge moment ,was being a good lad and backing up to let a car come up the high street in our local village .
The splash plate on the vacci tank left a lovely imprint on the local doctors Jags bonnet :LOL:
