The darker stripe in my above pics is where I set in with the drill to check depth, so it has effectively been cultivated before drilling, the wheat is missing in action at the minute, either deeper or dried out so hasn't come as well.
The rape is the same field as went purple and drowned over the winter, as you can see there are some bare areas, but not a complete loss at least.
The wheat is Lennox.

All DD with KV tineseeder.

Drilling beans the past days.

Field last autumn, masive cover crop after wheat.

The massive cover left the field clear of weeds and the frost wiped out the cover. No need for glyphosat spray.

Needed to lift all the harrows of the ground otherwise the would drag.
The finished result looks hi disturbance compared to normal, but I think it's because the cover has made the soil wery loose in the top.

Freudenberger Terra Gold 1 Mix:

Fodder peas
Alexandriner clover
Serradella
bluebell
buckwheat
summer vetch

It's a expensive mix, 75 euro per ha in seed.

Have made a excel sheet that calculate the price of the different species and think I will try to mix it myself this year trying to make it a little cheaper.

This shows the benefit of good reliable frosts, killing covers and breaking up the surface for drilling. No frost at all here for two years running on the Costa del Essex.
