Yes I am hoping to apply. My plan is to put the start up towards buying livestock and the capital towards buildings. As I understand you can't lump then together for the same capital item, e.g a shed

Too old by 2 months, but then again it's not aimed at me. Personally I would prefer to see it targeted at those who really need it, not those whom have taken over on paper on an established farm. Then again why look a gift horse in the month. I'm not bitter:p. Getting young people into agriculture especially in rural Scotland is proving difficult and I wonder how this can be changed. Old boys simply wasn't to hold on forever.

However I foresee with the downturn in Ag and reduced sub especially on the stock side opportunities will arise for those brave and enterprising enough to take them up. IMO I reckon a lot of the older generation who have reaped large sub BACS will step back.
