had to go push the muck heap up tonight...bit of a hole near it so decided to level a bit of spare soil

3 hours later i get the tractor home....

in all fairness the wheel had been chafing on the kingpin for a few months, now i know why

just glad id didnt let go earlier today while i had a tonne of fert hung over the spreader!!!!

Fergy 9 hole bar and a chain, dragged her back home to await a new kingpin!!!!

A chock of wood in between the axle and your wallet on the power harrow would have done the job.:)

Steadier day today-entertaining the kids mostly :)
Cheated for dinner-although the wallet felt it :nailbiting:

Caught rower man to give him his chips just before he went 8 miles to the fields at mum and dads.

Bit of shovel porn for all you buckraking enthusiasts

.........and the Maxxum in the distance :)
Then a quick sheet up after milking to get it airtight. Persisting down, so green sheets and tyre sidewalls can wait till tomorrow

You have the patience of a saint, if the bloody wheel fell off my tractor I would have delivered it straight to the scrapyard in frustration.

its gonna cost me about 50 quid for a kingpin, thats if ive not got one lurking in the heap of spares i already have

If the kingpin went on a new machine, so new that second hand parts are not available....how much would it cost you.....

exactly.

Carted a few trailers for a neighbour, picking up for another neighbour. Some biggish tackle for a small dairy farm. Last time I went over this bridge was with 110hp and ten ton trailer, today 150HP and 20 ton trailer. Was a bit point and pray.

The return route full was a mile of rough narrow track, and had traffic jams.

A 90deg turn onto a narrow bridge (look in wing mirror).

Then a 240 degree turn into the yard with space for a mouses fart between front wheel and local residents car.

Was raining when we finished,

which was fine as the contractor had been in and put the fert on my spring barley in my absence :) well washed in now.
