We get through quite a lot of the Cox 'Farmer's Choice' 12 month bolus. They are a chunk cheaper than those, but are just cobalt.

What sort of money are they? Do you have to pay a delivery charge from Ireland? I used the mayo cattle boluses and they were the best I had ever used (IMO).
Can't mind exactly but they seemed fairly priced. Delivery is included I think. I have ordered some of them out the nettex ones which ever our bolus man sends!

boluses 025.JPG These for this year. Yes i know its got selenium in, and iodine which is supposed to help the uptake of cobalt but hey. I rang mayo healthcare but it was an 0900 number (£3.00 a minute to a yorkshireman:LOL:) mobile wouldn't connect, mother not happy to use hers so i rang MVF. Same price but had to pay £20 for the bolus gun. Quite liked the idea of the mayo bolus being given when drenching. nem mind.

I might try the Mayo Cobalt Master as it has the highest amount of cobalt of any bolus and at £1.25 per ewe for 12 months supply then it's cheaper than 24/7 bolus over 12 months. Wessex said I could have a gun free with 5 packs of 100 boluses which helps.

Thing is most are like this
Do they not come with dose gun adaptor ?

Now i look inside yes:rolleyes::D It was a new product so they probably didnt know to tell me. I'll need the gun cause i need to get it done, cant wait for when they need worming.
Mind you i have been waiting to get the sheep moved on (into what is about a foot of grass:eek:) as want to go through them for replacements, check lambs feet and mark ewes (girl yesterday with her lambs hobbling, footrot or not will mark to cull) cant be doing with handling them twice when you check every lambs feet to assess them. We'll see this week how weve faired with this seasons feet.
