Just wondering if anyone has any issues this year with this variety?
Had a look at mine at dinner time and it's not looking good at all in fact I was so worried I call my agronomist and he came straight out to look at it.
He said I was the second phone call about this variety.

Is that not where there crop has more access to water I.e drains, organic matter old ridge furrow hedge etc? Perhaps not on the Heath
That strip that is looking ok has had no treatment at all its a missed strip, and yes its on the Heath but I've got other fields the same, got a neighbour with issues too.

But there are strips all off to the left of the photo also?
Yes well spotted, my sprayer ran out whilst doing t1 and it's fine, about 100 yds from the end and I didn't go back to finish that bit,and that bits fine, I did take a picture when I was doing t2 and you could see a difference in height but that's all

,i've got another field above this one and it was sprayed with Topic in parts and it's done the same in there ,its seems has though when it's been sprayed it's broken down the plants natural defences,if that makes sense.

If you look carefully to the left on that photo you can see two more strips a bit lusher in straight lines.....not old Victorian drains ? Is it real brash ?

Let us know what you find when you harvest it please. This is the first I have heard of any issues with it. I'm about to order some for a contract client so would be keen to hear details of what was applied & when. Mine will go into high pH chalk so not so different from your heath.

sounds and looks like your agronomist may not have slept well this weekend if the missed bits are ok our revelation looks the dogs dodahs just a few days later
It looks as though some thing that as been applied has not agreed with the crop,it's just working out what, going to go through spray records on Monday with a fine tooth comb to see if any thing stands out.
Did it have liquid fert?
No I'm on solid fert here.

When was the topik applied, and was it on its own, or with a big pile of PGR / nitrate-based minerals, during a hot week?
