I am Timmy [see pic on the left] and I love TFF:love:
I wouldn't bother with a garden stuff grows much better in Tesco (y)

Nice to meet you. I know that TTF means thefarmingforum after commen sense help. Why do you choose to say to not grow to buy from Tesco instead?

Thanks for your differing view that is useful to consider.

I'm surprised nobody has recommended a couple of spaghetti bushes and liquorice trees. Although not commonly grown in Wales they can adapt if they are well tended to with frequent watering in the flowering season.

Thanks for adding Spaghetti to grow.

Why are Spaghetti and liquorice trees not commonly grown in the South Wales please?

What way do you adapt Spaghetti and liquorice to grow in South Wakes and how much is frequent watering please?

Thanks for your help

Blackwood you say? You must know my aunty Phyllis (affectionately known as Siphillys). You know, she stands on the corner of Union Street and Slaughterhouse Terrace late at night. Lovely old girl. Firm believer in the old saying, "It's made round to go round bach." Now, I'm sure she was a chicken farmer in Blackwood. I never saw the chooks but she reckoned she'd raised thousands of cocks in her flat in Bonar Row

The weather in spring is critical for a good spaghetti harvest, as explained in this clip, athough I don't think it needs much watering though as it thrives in northern Italy as well as the smaller scale cultivation in Switzerland. Spaghetti weevil can be a problem though.

As kind as you describe the affection for your aunty, Phyllis, I have not had the pleasure of meeting your aunty, Phyllis in Blackwood. The only farm I know in Blackwood, there was just one, was there a few years ago near entering town, little bit away from the closet Petrol and Dieseal station. Now, going back a couple of years, the farm turns into a retail park where JJB is amongst Sainsburry and a few more popular shops. There is also a Bumble bee restaurant to eat in right near the retail park.

Funny to say in your aunty, Phyllis, ". I never saw the chooks but she reckoned she'd raised thousands of cocks in her flat in Bonar Row".

Your aunty, Phyllis must of had a big farm to house thousands of Chooks.
What does the saying, "It's made round to go round bach" mean please?

Was there a pub on that corner? With a big sign saying :

Liquor round the front and poker round the back?

Something like that, if I recall correctly.

No, not really. She only had a bedsit :scratchhead:

Made round to go round? Don't know for sure but I think she was talking about the roundabout off Hall street by the court building. She said the magistrates court was like her second home. Think she must have had lots of friends and customers there.
