Broadcasting seed?

I've been asked to harrow, roll and re-seed a patch of land for a customer.
What's the best way / order to do it?
It's on a small paddock that's been trashed by horses, so am I better of harrowing, broadcasting seed then rolling?

Any leatherjackets/wireworm about? If there are many, they can clear any seedlings, whichever way you do it. You're the one who will get the blame, so worth checking & treating/advising accordingly.

Count the number of Harley's parked on the headland.

Failing that do you have large congregation's of Jackdaw, Crows & Starlings in a part of a field they could be feeding on leatherjackets.

Thinking I've been told to put a roof slate on ground and they would be drawn by the dark and the warmth or am I confusing this with slugs or another pest?

Is that whilst it's still old pasture or once it's been ripped up or freshly worked?

Can be seen in any type of pasture, freshly worked ground if left for 24hrs can give a good control as it leaves the leatherjacket exposed to birds.

Check the soil ph also. Had horsey customers complain it didn't work and needed lime.
