Situation Vacant Full Time General Farm Worker

We currently have a full time position vacant for a general farm worker to cover jobs between our two farms in North Herefordshire.

We have a 180 cow conventional dairy farm milking twice a day on a 14/14 herringbone and feeding with a Keenan wagon. Tasks include but not limited to; relief milking, rearing calves, scraping out, bale hauling, dehorning, fencing, farm maintenance and other tasks assisting the herdsman.

The other farm is a mixed organic farm with a small suckler herd, arable and vegetables (mainly lettuce and kale). Jobs include but not limited to; planting/picking veg, grain/bale hauling, fencing, farm maintenance etc.

A clean driving licence is a must but a passion for farming is the only other real requirement. Some experience working with animals and driving tractors/telehandlers would be helpful.

We don't have accommodation so job would suit someone local to Herefordshire.

As you would expect, farming isn't a mon-fri/9-5 job - hours would vary depending on the season and you would be required to work some weekends. We can guarantee 39 hours a week.

Please PM me if you would like any further information.
