What shovel/loader to feed AD plant

Looking to buy a machine for feeding our AD plant, circa 30T per day out of 60m long clamps so would like something with a good lift capacity.

Currently debating telescopic loader like JCB 310s or a heavier shovel like a 416s. Main concern with the shovel is height (and price), would ideally like something that can lift tyres up to cover the pits and tip into trailers etc. But would be nice to take 3-4T including weight of the implement.

Thoughts..

Won't be used for many other jobs as we only have the digester at this site. Have not used a tractor loader but imagine they would be limited in lift capacity and height?

If this thing your filling never moves would it not be better to built a ramp up to it? Even a few feet of a ramp would make a big difference. I hate loading at the top of loaders reach all the time

Tip over height into the feeder is not the issue, it's tipping into silage trailers and lifting tyres over 4m pit walls where I would like the height

I think 320s is going to be a bit light on lifting, thinking now something like JCB 541-70 or have read on here good reports on a big Merlo 55.9 I think it was... anyone able to comment? Merlo more or less expensive than JCB?

Jcb merlo won't stand by warranty if you have big bucket on one!!

You could always build a ramp for loading trailers and or use a high tip bucket. Change your pit covering procedure so you don't need to bring Tyres in from the side or hire a telescopic for the day. Then buy a decent loading shovel cat or Volvo and run it for 20,000hours

I could go with a shovel if it was High Lift - was just a bit worried the extra length would make it a bit clumsy? Also, pick up hitch and extra spools are a big plus.. can these be retrofitted?
