how do you let these agents get away with charging a buyers premium,?

If I was having a sale I would not use them , talk about eating the cake from both ends.
Buyers prem doesn't make the slightest bit of difference.

You should try buying plant machinery. Nothing less than 5%

I don't mind buyers prem at properly run auction yards where the auctioneers do actually work hard to earn their money providing 5 days a week loading and proper security etc.
