TCN identification

just for reference , how do I identify tcn bodies ,
an I correct yl s good for vintage , then tcns for classic because they will plough a bit deeper ?

is tcn simply in the part numbers on each component .

couldn't really see any print on the backs
there are two sets , rough value ? sounds like id prob have to buy the plough that these were removed from , I'm told yls are now on the plough but I haven't seen them yet .

Thanks sirs point taken epics are horrible.
Honestly didn't think they were epic s when I was there but the frog number matches.

But if the plough ( which I've never seen ) is on Yl s and right money then my be a safe investment. ??.
Aint eating owt.

While on the subject of TCN's...

Someone told me once that there were infact two types of TCN, the standard TCN and a 'special' TCN that were fitted in very low numbers, mainly to match ploughs...

Can someone confirm whether this is myth or fact?

Mainly myth, the wording was something like " TS 86 match plough fitted with modified TCN bodies", the only modification was a one piece share, however................................... early TCN's are a little narrower in the breast, towards the back end of the board the later ones seem to have half an inch more metal top and bottom, to me it makes no difference to performance though
