Chemical Price Tracker

The only Warrior I have heard of is a non ionic wetter that costs a fraction of that. Did you ever get anywhere with any of the buying groups walked about earlier in the year?

I have accounts with 3 companies basically AGROVISTA, Agrii and prohem. I usually have to ask each time for the price of stuff and I have a feeling when I take my eye of the ball one supplier tends to ramp it up.

It sounds daft but I get tired of quoting sometimes. Needs to be done though. Problem is it can take a while to get quotes and then delivery - I'm starting to wonder why do they have to saddle regional agronomists with giving prices by email in the evening? Why don't these companies have a call centre or something for prices?

Do you use an agronomist for recommendations or just decide what you are using then get prices ?

They make it a pain to get prices so you give up asking and just pay the invoice no questions asked.

I get a kick out if saving money, it's the only way to approach procurement as it's possible to get a deal on everything your business buys.

I haven't got a quote for Crystal (have some left over from last year).
I have been quoted £336.50 for 5 litres of Liberator. This equates to £67.30/ litre. Is this quote good or bad?
Doesn't seem long ago since I was a serviced agronomist and used to sell it for £53.33/ litre and still make decent margin!

Not being a cynic at all, but as:

Liberator (5lt) = £336.50 ie full rate is £40.38/ha; then I would predict that a 10 litre tub of Crystal will come out about £100.95.

No Crystal is more than that from prices I have seen. But you have to allow for the DFF and Pendimethalin in the respective products. Although I note that for the first time I can remember the component parts of Crystal not really cheaper than Liberator.

have you had a quote for liberator?

Nah, I was just borrowing yours to show the maths. Crystal was £100 for a ten litre tub last year. It wouldnt at all be a shock if full rate of both was pretty much equivalent price.

Crystal is 60gai/l flufenacet + 300gai/l PDM.

hate to think what a service price for liberator is if £67 per litre is the quote! another example of supply industry reckless profiteering. They can't even use currency as an excuse anymore.

I get the feeling it's jumped greatly in recent years. Anybody else noticed this?

£120/10l of Crystal. £62.83/l for Liberator

At full rates that's £37.70/ha for 0.6l Liberator & £48/ha for 4l Crystal (if you can get it).
