JD Greenstar on Bateman?

I have got a build slot booked with Bateman for the end of this year for a RB35. Current Bateman is running Ag Leader with section control and works fine.

However rest of my tractor fleet runs JD Greenstar and i would like to standardise - has anyone got any experience of running G/s on Bateman sprayers or know if it can be done? (local JD dealer been asked and is also researching)

Section control mainly and ideally steering aswell. Using G/S section control on a Kvernland spreader and on 2 x Grimme potato planters and impressed with it.

G/S appeals to me as can import work plans from Gatekeeper to cut down on paper, our current version of Ag leader wont do this

you can run starfire for GPS as we did for many years

I'm nots sure you can get full greenstar loom and control though and even if you can it would be very expensive compared to topcon or agleader etc that can do the same ?

Can't get the whole loom and boomtrac but you can get a raven box that let's you do section control don't know how well it works though just priced it up when speaking to local JD AMS at our local show

If you talk to Derek Johnson at precise solutions the Agleader importer I think it can be done whereby its all Agleader bits and pieces modules etc but then green star screen etc controlling them via isobus. I think that was how he explained it.

How are you doing section control on the grimme planters as I have been told this is not possible yet. Sounds like it is.

Richard

We are running 2 x GB215 belt planters (yrs 2013 & 2014). Grimme have fitted them with 'isobox' conversion hardware that now allows us to run the planters through isobus and control via Greenstar. We still have a Grimme controller in the cab aswell to add functionality (will need to ask my operators what this controls)

We are using the section control in G/S to give auto switching of belts on & off at row ends with the info taken from boundary maps. Planters are 2 row machines so we are not switching each row individually.

Grimme have their own system aswell but we went down the G/S route as allready got the in cab hardware

Is that what is on @MRA your new bateman?

Afraid not, I'm merely running a 2600/2630 alongside the agleader display.. As a somewhat overkill guidance screen (considering that's all it's doing) for the ATU wheel to give me autosteer. Agleader is still controlling the sprayer, section control etc

Agree with Carl that yes it can be done with JD rate controller. I have a customer with a HiLo 2001 ok yes its old however the LH electrics were quite easy to integrate into the rate controller. Also has universal autotrac, only has to push the stick forward!

Was told you would have to fit JD lines and sections to make this work otherwise its what we wanted to do to be honest as the JD spraying stuff is hard to beat.

Ther is a new JD adapter, new in UK, which will alow 2630 to rate control and section control any sprayer . New toy has an x20 fitted will try it first before deciding looks like an adapter would allow it to use JD signal?
