Downloaded it to the iPad and it has completely screwed it! Ever since downloading it the iPad has been in recovery mode and iTunes won't connect to it to restore factory settings

First time I've ever had a problem with a download. So that blows your theory out the window!All Apple IOS releases cause sh1t to happen.
Thing is, users who have been burned several times in the past, when they downloaded new releases, will invariably be at the head of the line to download the next and all future releases.
Then they all take to the net to moan and groan!

I never have, but have to admit to not having iOS8 yet.First time I've ever had a problem with a download. So that blows your theory out the window!
