have a pronto 4 dc on which the seals went on the hyd fan motor. got a new set of seals , put them in and drilled 300 acres and dam things have gone again. operate fan at 3000-3500 rpm. wouldn't be so bad but seal kit costs £220, a new motor £800 .has anybody else had this problem or is it one of those " never happened before jobs". would be glad of any feedback.

If its the same fan thats on the sprinters its essential to have a free flow return to the tractor back end, if you get pressure in the return the seals will blow.

We use two free flow returns for this reason.

Just check your tractor ends on the pipes and into the tractor aren't worn out

We did similar on our drill and changed tractor end and female and that solved it having blown 2 sets of seals in a day

jmm= yes have free flow return on drill, straight into hyd chest on nh 7.200, 3/4 inch return pipe with 3/4 inch QR couplings . jca= drill is 2007. interesting having two returns .where do you take second pipe from ?, doyou take it from a "t" as it comes off the moteor or split it further towards the tractor? have looked on interweb and found exact same parker moters in Saudi Arabia , 80 of them at £100 each might search a bit closer to home. it just seems crazy horsch can charge £800 when you can get them for a fraction elsewhere.

Thought they all have two returns large one free flow into back end small one into spool or teed into other return runs from 1800 to 4000 depends what am drilling done about 8000 acres and no seals yet

White House products. Ayrshire. For Hyd stuff And knock the guts out of couplings. To be sure. And put dummy in when not using to blank off open ends
