Self esteem abit but one of the fields is next to the bosses house and he likes it to look pristine and some of the fields belong to someone we contract farm for with one field next to their house, over the whole area there would be a lot of wheat missing. Yes I ve drilled the tramlines but on some of the fields to get the width and sequence right I ve done the first run at 24 metres instead of 30 metres so we can use some of the tramlines ;)

Probably did'nt need fixing as the crop would grow over pretty soon. More like restoring self esteem!!!!

These tramlines will be visible all the way to harvest - trust me!
I just wish all who contract drill, did like that to fix it. I have someone else drill for us, and they always make plenty of tramlines to choose from.

It's also good to see people take pride in their job and do it right when something go other than planed. We all make mistakes, it's how we deal with it that shows the difference.

Our home made mishap rectifier. Blockage issues on the seedhawk and we felt 500mm spacings were too wide for wheat! What you can't see is the slug pelleter feeding the seed into a large diesel funnel which then attaches to the pipe.

First of the 50 acre I drilled the other week has just came through..one intermittent stopped coulter across all of it..comes and goes every few rounds

After a lot of head scratching and walking behind the drill..on the amazone there ia a black peg that goes through the fluted roll and engages with the smaller toothed roll secured to the shaft by a grub screw. The black peg has worn away and was allowing the fluted roll to freewheel on the shaft. If it got a bit of wheat jammed between the rollers all of a sudden it would engage drive again for a few rounds!!!

Thankfully its only on 5" spacing. .would have looked a lot worse with the mf 30 on 8" coulters!!!!
