i remember being told of a lad totally believing that a double decker sheep house was going to be built, it actually seemed convincible in the right land type-rising with second floor at slight slope for run off, in to top deck from high land and lower deck from lower land. he took it all in, then they finished their tea and were heading out to tag the turkeys before they killed them for christmas so they wouldnt get them mixed up. not sure how they got on tagging the turkeys

There's a chap near bridgy bought a yard that included a two story poultry shed. Big ramp up to the top floor .

Lower floor had big fans for ventilation.

He kept finishing cattle on bottom floor and Lambed his sheep on the top floor (solid concrete floor).
Also interestingly he kitted out his lambing shed with hundreds of sheep/pig pens from one of the localish markets that shut

My father said that when clamp silage first came to the area in the 50s, MAFF were advising that the cows could sleep on top and self feed from the bottom. (Shed built on sloping ground with access at different ground level both ends).

Fairly certain there was an American dairy herd in New York State that was built on the design of a multi story car park.
With a big Rotary parlour cannot remember how high it was or the Reason for the design.
