Have a daughter in Oz and it is nice to Facetime. Old Iphone has v.small screen and has been suggested Ipad would be much better.
Tesco do Hudl for less than half the money, and according to Gadget Show on telly it is the pick of the budget tablets.
Question is Facetime only supported by Apple products, or is there another way?
Thanks.

As JP says above - Skype will work on other devices. (y)

Skype is the way to go as it works on all platforms/devices - just need a webcam built in (can get external if needed) and mic/speakers and you're good to go. If it's one to one I recommend headphones for a better quality chat and less echo/feedback.

Broadband is ropey where she is and Skype much worse than Facetime so looks like Apple it will have to stay.
