Worked at a farm in late 1980's where each year we had 7 Ford 7610's delivered, at the 1st service they were always dynoed to make sure all was well, the PTO output ranged dramatically from 90 hp to 115, these days electronic fuel delivery systems ensure a much more accurate HP rating

Only supposed to be 95hp at the engine!

103 was quoted to us, they were good tractors with a quality cab for the era, I liked the Deere's more as they seemed to have more grunt, 2140's were 82 engine horsepower but the output on the dyno ranged from 78-88 at the PTO, a good 2140 would give any 7610 a run for it's money on PTO and trailed implement work, a 3140 would eat them for breakfast, but it wasn't until the HY lift was introduced just before the 50 series launch that the rear lift could match the Ford, and before anyone mentions it, Ford had sorted porosity by then

Here from 18mth old in 1980, recorded 11000hrs on two clocks and two engines, and had very little else in the way of ailments. Wish I'd taken more pics when it was pride of the fleet! It wore a loader for a few years in the mid 90's
