yes. Is there a law that they must be 4 ft??
EU regulation 456-987.678 didn't you get ityes. Is there a law that they must be 4 ft??
It can be hard on the baler 5ft we tried some they were 1.2t only did half a dozen straw is great in 6ft thoughwas speaking today about making them 5ft and putting them through tubeliner. That would save alot of plastic. But would only get 6 long on bottom of trailer.
Reversed treads are required if the the axle is undriven but braked. What's the idea of having tyre treads facing different ways.
Always been a bit of a debate as to what way round to face those flotation treads. Seen them fitted both ways round but never together like that.
Reversed treads are required if the the axle is undriven but braked.
On a driven axle the treads "v" faces forward so that soil is pushed outward as the contact patch tread moves with some degree of slip. If the tyre was reversed, the driving torque and consequent contact patch slip pulls soil towards the centre, effectively reducing the area and reducing grip (in practical terms you get stuck quicker!).
For a braked axle the torque is the same as a reversed driven axle (though the force acts at the contact patch and not at the centre of the hub). Consequently you need to reverse the tread direction to maximise braking efficiency.
He don't know if he is coming or goingYes, but I was wondering why the front tyre on that trailer is forward facing and the back one rear facing rather than paired.
I ve no idea either. Just the way mconechy fitter stuck them on.Yes, but I was wondering why the front tyre on that trailer is forward facing and the back one rear facing rather than paired.
