most milk bulk tank samples, are not checked for wormer/fluke contamination, could be a shock to some, if they were.
Only ever had them checked once in 30 years
Ministry vet on farm to take bloods for tb animals asked if he could have a sample of cake and a sample of milk for testing ,said to me if there was anything in there I could say no and he wouldn’t bother .i let him have both ,nothing to hide

apparently, so they say, they are starting to check samples for 'other' things.
And like you, have had quite a lot of 'stuff' analysed by min vet, more than most, because he calls in for a chat, and knows there won't be anything wrong.

This weeks project for the new parlour and shed. A pressure pump to add and wash down pump next both Vari speed
Are you feeding your pressure pump from a tank? We put a loop of pipe off the main supply in connected to just after the pump with valves to isolate the two systems. So if we have pump failure we can swap over & keep water running even if its not as fast flowing. It keeps the cows happy.

That top pipe is the incoming main, it feeds a 10,000 litre holding tank and then pressure pump will feed the twin 63mm pipes that head off round the farm. We are hoping to have a groundwater well setup and use the main as backup. That lever valve coming off that top pipe is so if the pump breaks you turn 2 valves and all cattle have water while you fix the pump

there’s another 5000 litre tank which will be fed from a pond where all roof water goes into. Will fit a dosatron and dose with hypo so bacteria doesn’t cause issues in parlour

Why not feed the tank with water straight from the roof, rather than it coming via the pond?

No need for filters on the tank then, old dirty water hole has been repurposed and made bigger and collects water from every roof on the farm. Enough water storage for 6 months wash down usage

Sounds a very similar, but scaled up (as ours is just for the robot shed) version of what we’ve got. Will be mostly run off well water but we’ve also got a 1000 litre tank & pump for mains just to run the robots & tank so we don’t have to worry about passing water quality tests. Also plumbed to be able to use roof water for washdown. Most of the gutters on our farm are piped to a central point so we can collect it & reuse it.
Thats part of what we’ve done, thats just for the troughs, robots, tank. Few other bit to sort out at some point

Out of interest why do you both have mains water going to a tank to then be pumped to where it's needed? Do you have a lack of mains pressure? Because you're just adding something else that's got a running cost and will go wrong at some point. Or is it to do with water byelaws where you are?

Rules of them there water folk. We’re not allowed to connect robots directly to the mains. I’m sure some people might have but its a big no no.
But also if you need a high demand at any time then straight mains would struggle to keep up, unless you had one hell of a supply. Its a fairly even pressure & flow with a variable speed speed pump.
