Getting very close to the point of do I go for it or hope for a dry week at the end of January. The more the merrier I should think. Not quite shortest day yet but approaching it.
easy way is on a sensibly sized measured/known area /field even, is to not open up too much ie guess around half rate then do 1 pass over the field then see how much is used with regards to setting for the 2nd and final pass. iyswim.Might be the driest week since October here. What seed rate on medium heavy land spring tined in please? Anybody with a KRM M2 24 meter know the setting they used?
8 for this years slugs1 for the rook,
1 for the crow,
1 to fail
1 to grow
Do you have settings for the lely?Probably of no value to you but I do all my wheat with either an Amazone or Lely spreader although they spread 24 metres I do 12 metres to get good distribution.

Yes but a combination stirs it to flubber, in the same conditions as a tineseeder doesn't.We pulled our combination a month ago but didn't do a proper job
Yes C6 at 10.3 kmh gives me about 60 kg an acre on 12 metre centres. We make quite a reasonable seedbed though. A Discordan makes nice lines and then it’s pressed in with a double press. It’s not a fire brigade job. If it’s a last resort you’d be better upping the seed rate.Do you have settings for the lely?
I wouldn't go any less, obviously not dressed seed?Im thinking 2 1/2 cwt/acre or 312.5kg/ha? Is this too much/ not enough?
