Might be the driest week since October here. What seed rate on medium heavy land spring tined in please? Anybody with a KRM M2 24 meter know the setting they used?

The more the merrier I should think. Not quite shortest day yet but approaching it.
Getting very close to the point of do I go for it or hope for a dry week at the end of January.
Think if soil conditions were good I'd probably still drill this week. Trouble is my soil needs a week to dry out yet.

Be prepared to feed the local rook population too.

easy way is on a sensibly sized measured/known area /field even, is to not open up too much ie guess around half rate then do 1 pass over the field then see how much is used with regards to setting for the 2nd and final pass. iyswim.

fine tune for the next field.

drive second pass down the middle between the first wheel marks ie 12m spacing ultimatly .

yes takes twice as long but can be a very practical in the field way of using the wanted amount of seed.
