Could be worse.. I’ve not done a Park run for some time but the last two I ran I finished behind the same “chick” a lady well into her 70s 🙈
I often speak to various member of my running club who are feeling down about their running and have to remind them that they were never going to be qualifying for Team GB in the next Olympics and should compare themselves to the rest of the population. It's good to have a goal and to push yourself, but the fact you're (or my mates) are doing parkrun and trying to stay fit is a big step in the right direction

For me park run was a stepping stone.. I prefer to put the time and energy into mountain biking than running.. park run also clashes with the kids Saturday activities.

You'll probably find the running will complement your biking, it certainly does the other way around, cross training really does benefit athletes

You are right of course but time and energy... and motivation constrains me, at points in the year I am short or the former, and this time of year the latter....

Does anyone have experience of running with a 7 day heart monitor? I’ve got one being put on next week but they want me to carry on marathon training so that they see what they are looking for….is it quite stable or do I need to order something so that it sits better?
I trained with a 24hr monitor on. hospital said it was fine to do as I should do my normal activity
