There do seem a lot about. Limited experience of one is as you say simple and easy to use. Doesn't put it in as deep as I expected. (i'm talking about the early aguirre 3 row tine ones). IMO the wheels could do with being a bit bigger/wider. Good robust wheel eradicators. Wing wheels essential. From a cursory glance an accord/kv might be more expensive but also a bit superior. However the weaving is cheap, high capacity and good in the wet.

I’ve a Horsch pronto … good drill in good conditions but not a drill for poor conditions… those tyres cause a lot of compaction ! Just thought a weaving type drill with not to excessive HP required might be a better bet ..

Soil type related I expect, had to fabricate scrapers for my TS middle wheels to stop the built up soil from continually wearing through the belt guard and destroying belts/ pulley.
An ill thought out machine IMHO.

We've had a 6m Weaving tine drill since 2006.

It's been back to Weavings and had it's frame replaced - they are very helpful with maintenance.

It never lets us down and in most seasons is used more that our 4m Rapid. Seeds grow on Weaving headlands in wet years !
