About this Event
GROW is an ambitious not for profit project set up in partnership with The Totteridge Academy (TTA) in North London. GROW offers bespoke sustainable food growing and outdoor learning programmes to support well-being in schools and disadvantaged communities.
The agroecological 'GROW Farm' and outdoor learning hub at TTA provides a practical and inspiring resource for everyone who visits. This has been developed to grow food for the school kitchen, for teaching purposes, wellbeing programmes, and enterprise.
There will be 2 separate sessions consisting of a tour and learning workshop for people to choose from:
When? Tuesday 26th October: 10.00am to 1.00pm or 2pm to 5pm.
Visitors will see GROW in full action: you will learn how the market farm runs and how it interacts with and supports the school. You will also be taken through the GROW learning materials and resources and learn about how they will be integrated into school and the community to promote sustainability, wellbeing, and enterprise skills.
Finally, you will hear about plans for creating a case study and training centre and how the ideas behind this project can be spread throughout the education system.
Attendance is FREE and includes tea/coffee & homemade cakes made with produce from the GROW Farm. There is a suggested donation to GROW of £20.
