Hi I’m looking for a local farmer near York/selby area or maybe further, who has a unused lake on there land that they will be willing to lease to a young angler, to be used as a carp fishery. With the most prolific lake in york closing down (Q lake pool bridge) this is a fantastic opportunity to get all the left anglers on a new lake and fishing in there back garden again, I know majority of these lads and could get them as new members. I know it’s alot to ask and every anglers dream, but...
Guys I own a small holding in South Guildford. The felds next to me have come up for sale. The farmer wants around £18-20k acre which seems a bit steep .I didn't want to purchase the fields but worried they may get into irresponsible hands. One field has no direct road access(accesses via sewage works) . Will this affect its value? The other field has a right of way past the water works. WIll that effect its value? What im trying to understand is how much does direct access from a public...

Good afternoon all. I’ve got the remains of (what I believe was) a building on my land. Talking to those who know the area better than I, I’m told that the structure was a cow shed / barn. The structure must be over one hundred years old. If I wanted to confirm this, who’d be the best person to confirm what the structure was? An architect, historian, Thanks in advance for your help
Hi all. First post, non farmer so please bare with me a bit. I have done up and sold multiple properties in the past, but I'm looking to make a more substantial investment and take advantage of ag IHT relief. About 150 acres of land, 120 of which is farmland with two small houses is up for sale near me. Listed for 2mil, but price has already decreased once so I'm guess it will go for less. I'm of the opinion the two houses could be renewed and sold for 400-500k each, or possibly let...
Looking for a parcel of land to train/ walk dogs on , doesn’t have to be a feild, small woodland would also be great. As close to Dereham as possible Willing to pay good money for the right bit. thanks!
Hello Landowners, I live in the Croston, Leyland area, and I was wondering if there is a scrappy piece of land near to where I live that I could turn over so that I could use it. I would like to turn it into a piece of agricultural land which I can use for my attempts at a self-sustaining lifestyle. I don't have a lot of money by any means but I'm willing to do anything to prove myself as worthy for such an asset.
There appears to be very little land on sale in the North East. I'm really struggling to find something. I'm not sure if I'm looking at the right places? Ideally I'd like from 6-15 acres. It would be for 6 horses. Any advice would be appreciated. Or if anyone is selling I'm a cash buyer 😀
Hi there I'm looking to rent a small area, probably no more than half and acre, to erect a couple of commercial polytunnels. to grow chillis, peppers etc. Not sure how much would be a decent rent... I'd also want to put 3-4 100 litre water containers, to collect rain water. Unless the land has a supply i could tap into and obviously contribute towards. The idea is to sell at markets, farmers markets car boot etc. Anyone got an idea as to a decent rental amount... South Northamptonshire.

I am loosing my grazing for my herd of horses, I currently have 10 and am looking to rent any land in the area of Hampshire/dorset/Wiltshire boarder Ideally oooking for in excess of 12 acres as most are ponies. 15 to 20 would be better and easier to manage. All we need is access to either a water supply or natural water and natural shelter. we are experienced in land management and more than happy to maintain land and fencing. this is for private use only.
Hi there, I'm looking to host a two day party in July 2024. I was looking either for people who are interested in renting out field space or woodland to talk with, or general advice about the best way to get in touch with people who are looking to rent out space. The team who are behind running it take our responsibilities to the land owners seriously, and will be implementing a leave no trace policy and all our attendees will be aware of this. Just looking to host some good clean fun and...

Hi, A quick and potentially silly question. Would a 100 acre hill farm for example, have more farmable surface area than a 100 acre flat farm? If acreage was based off a satellite Birds Eye view I suppose it would?
100 Arce plus farm wanted for a family farming venture. Cornwall, South east/west Devon, Somerset. Condition of House not important neither buildings just land and yard. Cash available, if you know of anyone retiring or looking to sell please get in touch or spread the word even if its just for a chat. Thanks, Charlie
Hi lovely people, im wondering if any of you have any fields you wouldn’t mind me, my dad and brother to detect on. We are all very respectful and massive history lovers especially Roman history. I’m a care worker, my dad’s now retired worked for Rolls Royce for many years, My brother has some learning difficulties. My dad’s been detecting for around 20 years me and my brother started about 3 years ago. We absolutely love this hobby we go on some group digs, but as I work a lot of weekends I...
