Apologies if this isn't the place to post but looking at all avenues. My partner and I are looking to purchase anything between 5-15 acres of permanent pasture to set up our own private smallholding with potential to build one single storey house or refurbish and existing property. If anyone is interested in selling land please let me know. All areas within an hour of Glasgow and Edinburgh considered. Thanks
Hi there, I’m looking for some advice / guidance. I would like some farmers advice on the below if possible. I’ve been looking for a while to rent some land to make into a secure field for my dogs plus running it as business in the future. Unfortunately I keep missing out on land that’s up for rent by Estate Agents. I was just wondering if approaching farmers directly would be an option? But I’m just worried about sounding cheeky and losing their respect. Plus I wouldn’t want to call...
Wanted ASAP 6-20 acres of good grazing land with house (that’s not falling down or in need of a complete renovation) to immediately move into. £400-465 is my maximum price and I have to move in by September 2020. Must not be on a flood plain. I have a small herd of sheep, goats, ponies and alpacas. The land must be clean (no ragwort etc).
Hi, looking to sell the family silver. This spring has been set for this sale for tax and other reasons. Would an auction in the room of the local pub be classed as a mass gethering? Do any of the online auction sites (ibidder etc) have an invitation only area for seriously interested persons? It's an unusual sale in a keen area and I'm not sure 'best and final offers' would do it. Thanks
The direction of post Brexit and government agenda is making large investors very nervous, with the first of two very large institutional investors about to release massive acres for sale. We added some land to our family farm three years ago, but feel we have got that wrong and now too much debt to take our business forward, especially as our land borrowings to value have escalated.

A couple of friends and myself own a small selection of vintage buses which need undercover storage to keep them protected from the elements. Ideally we are looking to rent space in a barn in the Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire or Northamptonshire area for one or two vehicles to be stored. The vehicles are 10m long by 2.5m wide. One is 12ft tall and the other 13"9 tall so access doors must be 14ft" high as a minimum. We have three buses in a barn already but that is now full; we are...
