Hello, I'm wondering if a mf 30 with discs would drill spring barley directly into sprayed off barley stubble? Just a thought as we are stoney ground and hard to plough.
Thanks

Nope unless it's very light land. I have new disks on mine and wound her up to full pressure to drill some belepi a couple of weeks ago into some failed sky fall on heavy land and have struggled to get over 15mm consistently and there was quite a bit of tilth there to bury it. It's coming ok but they need a bit of tilth there in my experience.

Sometimes the discs will struggle to bury seed in wheel tracks if eradicators aren't set right in tilled soil so it would be no good as direct drill that's what they built the 130 for .

Keep looking, I found the moore here listed under the conventional drills on agriaffares. It cost less than 2 grand for a 1997 unidrill 3 years ago, but was rather tired and I spent more than it cost on new parts refurbishing it to good order, rather than just get it working again.
