Most are indeed heavier than Ifor Williams. IW have the advantage of donkey's years of experience and the volume sales that justifies state of the art design and factories as well as their own precision fabrication facility. It allows them to produce their own lightweight optimised construction.
Others struggle to produce consistent quality and construction due to a more 'blacksmith' approach to lower volumes.

No doubt IW trailers can be improved upon but rivals struggle to achieve this at a competitive price. Hopefully the Haughton [excuse me if the name isn't right] will calve a nice niche in top quality and design, even if that is at a price. It might well be worth it for a small number of users.

Shamelessly copied from a link on t'other side. Gamic much cheaper than a Houghton, provided you can wait a while. ;)

It's landed then! :)

What is it cattle users don't like about the gamic?

My job will be 75% cattle and the rest sheep, have thought it would be cheaper to buy another ifor and leave the decks in it.
