Hello,
Planning ahead for the rest of the year and would appreciate advice on best ag shows to visit around the country.
I manage farmkit.com (online machinery auction site) and am keen to get to "proper" ag shows with machinery dealer presence over the course of the year and speak to farmers and dealers directly.
We had a stand at LAMMA in January which was great (but cold!) and am thinking Royal Welsh and Royal Highland as well but would appreciate any other suggestions.
Cheers, Will

Cheers, Loadshead, looks like a good option and not too far from us - stand costs look reasonable too.

Like you say the weather will make it but I think we're due a summer this year aren't we???

Maxxum-man, yes its on your left as you enter the Feilday site. Most tractors are stock, but there is a modified class too. If only we could get some Pro Stock tractors down here!:greyalien:I'm hoping were get a better colour blend this year, as they had too many poo coloured tractors last year.;)

We get farmers from all over the country call in and see us at this show, some even plan their holidays around the show dates just so they can visit.

Thanks greatingrass - a few people have suggested the royal cornwall - I've got the 6th 7th and 8th June in the diary now! I usually go camping in Devon / Cornwall in the summer so good idea to combine the two - I best let Mrs Farmkit know!

Do you mean just to visit or have a stand?
I think you would be hard pushed to get a stand at RWAS, plenty of machinery there usually, along with the Sunday market/car boot which operates for 4 days on about a third of the site:(

Don't forget if your staying in Devon you will need your passport to get into God's country! ;)

If your down come say hello, I'll be putting details up of stand number etcetera nearer the time.

Hi Penmoel - I saw the deadline for stand bookings on the RWAS website and thought the same but I spoke to Simon Gittoes (deals with bookings) the day before yesterday and he seemed to think we would be ok. The thing is we only need a small stand as its just a focal point for talking to people and handing out flyers etc with details of our online auctions (similar to the stand we had at LAMMA - http://farmkit.com/home/lamma)
Agree we would be struggling big time if we were exhibiting machinery...
Cheers, Will
