Personally I can see a limit usefulness for the tipper (and maybe the skip loader)

For me the flat and livestock box are too short, too high up and too compromised

Or am I missing something?

You mean the short tipper / flat / livestock boxes that fit over the 5th wheel of an artic unit to make a short rigid?
Yes JP, looking at a particular long term job moving some bulk material into a very tight warehouse on a weekly basis, no room to get an 8 wheeler in so this is the only way I can think to do it. Already run an articulated tipper into the same place so could combine the 2 jobs with one tractor unit if they work how I think they work. Do you have any experience of them, or is there anything similar on the market? Thanks.

I googled those images. There seems to be other makes now although I thought it was a Northern Irish manufacturer concept

I have no direct experience with them but was well aware of them

You might be as well to join and post same on trucknetUK forum .........(y)

Friend has one on a twin drive tractor unit which hauls his swing shovels and kit on a artic lowloader but then uses a Jac a box tipper for stone / dirt etc. Payload is 10/11 tonnes . Works well.
I have yet to understand how they fix to the tractor unit and if you can use a normal trailer with the same tractor unit without taking off any type of interface for the J-A-B. JP, do you know of any other manufacturers of this type of kit?

It's a shame their website is down (or dead) as technical info is hard / impossible to find - we do some work in Ireland and I loath calling them as I can't understand what they are saying most of the time (bloody ignorant of me I know but I just can get my head around the accent ☹️)

Reckon your best bet is finding an operator via Trucknet and PM'ing them TBH ;)

Look up beallagri.com. I think this is made where the jak a box was made. Chap that made the jak a box is in bad health but perhaps still in the background.

Their are brackets which attach to the chassis, I cannot remember if they were bolted or welded. then the j a b bolts to that I think it was only 4 bolts. it only take 5mins to drop on and off, then you can pull a trailer as normal

There are a couple of them round us, if youv got a tractor unit and want a small rigid sometimes it's ideal , I made a flat bed one out of a step frame neck , it was handy but I never really used it that much,
They go better on a midlift than a tag axle !

I have a red tipper back for a jak-a-box, its just over 13ft by 8ft very good condition floor good etc aluminium on sides 3 tarmac doors on the back, roll over sheet etc. how much is it roughly worth? and is anyone interested in it?
I don't have the truck part to go with it (the ram and chassis part) or the landing legs.
there's a blue one for sale at https://www.donedeal.co.uk/plantmac...tar-body-daf-scania-volvo-hino-tipper/9121757 for £3250 and a flat on ebay for £3250 I would say my tipper is in better nick than the blue one but my paint is worse. any information appreciated.
