what's the best tedder that fits this price range? im not totally fixed on price if its justified by the machine.
I would like a 6 rotor as the extra width is more productivity but the 6 rotors seem to have had the most grief ie frames welded up. is this due to design/strength or the nuppet on the seat?
been told to stay away from the 6 rotor krones? due to breaking up?
advice is the lely is the best, debated the lotus stabilo 600 as a compromise 6m machine but 4 rotor supposedly less grief than 6? but do these do a good job at spreading out or are they a compromise (I probably wouldn't use it to row up as not wide enough rows)
I use a Kuhn digi drive 5001 for someone which they've had from new, it has been no grief at all except 1 year it snapped a bolt which holds the guard so we unbolted them off to sort later and hmmmm it works well without them! I like these but the 6 rotors aren't as available is this because they didn't sell many or because people never trade them in? or worse they're all destroyed?
I looked at a pottinger 6 rotor which looked good value or what about a claas?
I currently have a fransguard 390 which is good but its a compromise not the best at rowing up or tedding but does a half decent job at both, a tedder rake setup will be a jump forewards but I don't want to feel in 2 years time I should have bought a 6 rotor
