OK.....I cant stay silent forever, but as there's not that much Ammonium Sulphate kicking about the UK perhaps I don't want everyone jumping on board:( You could say I am reasonably happy with the system;)
I think I could have helped a little for some time when I was a little "over supplied". :) Found a solution and now as season started we are happy for every gramm we have & can dilute.
Urea was price wise almost free falling, 21-0-0-24 not at all.
York-Th.
p.s. we might have some free later which is perfect for diluting. As we have managed this situation we will manage the next one as well. Now all wheels that are able to be turned, are turning. If someone thinks "oversupplied" does have a effect on prices he will be disappointed.

one of our 3 Xerion is working like that. way to heavy unit, ratio of payload to end weight is not good. Even the "doog walk" doesn't help as tires need to have to high pressure so where is the low foot print?
By the way, all 3 Xerion had within 3 month identical axle & gear box trouble.

Why can't you make stronger stuff so less carting about. I'm looking at the agroco mixing guide at the moment. York is there any guides on different stuff to make for Cultan.

its usually straight AS - so just 8%

umbilical is the way to do it in the UK IMO

Anybody tried applying full dose of AS at seeding?
I want to apply 90 kg of N to spring barley but a bit concerned with the low pH right around the seedling. Any thoughts? Will drill with trusted seed hawk.

is it in or besides the furrow?
there is good literature in Canada about how much you can place with the seed into the furrow.
you just have to adjust the rates to your row spacing. they have out there info on all types of fertilisers.
At least on old BFF, could be even here on TFF, there are post's with details. just do a search with the topics of Seed burn fertiliser.

More or less in. I'm not so worried about the burning. We place up to 130 kg of N in granular npk or the same with liquid N273S but, none of these make the zone around the seedling acid in the same way as AS? And yes, I will do the search :)

So you put 390l/ha on in one hit? Most we have ever done is 100kg/ha of N as liquid at 320l/ha.

I did 780 l/ha... and hoping my figures are correct..
Anyhow, drilled yesterday so we are now waiting for emergence.
The wheat got 1200 l/ha and has not yet died.

N27 3S is 27% N with an SG of around 1.26 so 1200l/ha is 400kg of N per ha.

Unless I'm working it out wrong as we just use the application chart from the supplier which does the calculation for you.

Quite right and with N27 we have gone up to 400 l/ha on spring osr. Yesterday I drilled barley with ammonium sulfate. Thats why all the litres.

I thought you placed up to 130kg though? That's what I was referring to really but 400kg of plant food is an extremely high rate in the UK.
