I have a NH bb980
At first i used bihr atlas - recomended by my service guy. But they closed a few years ago.
I then tried almost everything available here. Not tama though, as nobody sold it at reasonable prices at the time. It was only available as rebadged original from baler dealers at a hefty premium.
My problem is that i make longer bales than standard 2,4 meters. I make mine about 2,7.
That meant a lot of knots burst just when the bale went out the back of baler.
After testing 7 different kinds of twine, all with 100-115m/kg, i ended up using Piippo 110m/kg for the last few years, with very little trouble. It was cheaper than other brands too.

It's the extreme super i use. Very happy with it.

Do you have to adjust knotters when using different brands of twine? I always try and use same to avoid problems.

I have a nh bb 980. I have to adjust how easy the twine flow on the knotter to adjust how long the ends are. To short and the knot slips open. To long and it wont let go on the knotter. It's different with each kind of twine, so i also use the same every year.

Anyone using cordex?
Yes been using 7200 for around 6 years now moved onto the big spools with change of Baler 2 years ago (mf 187 to mf 2270 xd) run a heavier string on outside two knotters as we sell all our straw and it can be handled four or five times probably not necessary but means no burst strings at all. Also got given a few spools of farmers twine to try a couple of years ago baled about ten acres with them in they are now lying in the workshop and used for tying things up will never use again!

Piippo string is a class above other baler twine in my opinion. But they pulled out of the UK market several years ago as being too cutthroat.
I had our AGCO dealer looking into importing a container load a year after they stopped marketing it here, but it never worked out.
