cider making

I am presently planting almonds with an economically productive life of 25 to 30 years.

Olive trees can live a long time, but again, their productive life is not so long. I would not like to put a figure on it, but I grubbed out some trees a few years ago that were planted in the 1950s. I do not expect to outlive the olive trees I have planted in the last 10 years.

Ball park figures, if I planted 1 acre of apples this year (sort of medium density and probably bigger trees with sheep and chicken under), what sort of timescale to a decent yield and what would that yield very roughly be? Or is dwarf stock in rows better? Obviously easier to harvest.

1 ton after 3 years, 3 ton after 5 years rising to 10 tons max yield.
It is very much a how long is a piece of string question but that gives an idea of what the string might look like.

It is but thanks for the answer. A couple thousand liters after 5 years sounds promising. Is that big trees or dwarf stock?

There's usually plenty of apples to take away for free but I guess if you are selling a product it needs to be fairly consistent in flavour.
