Looking at possibly installing ADF what are people's opinion of it and what is the cost per point as I have a 25/50 swingover

Wouldn't it be quite slow waiting for it to wash out before putting in on another cow in a swingover parlour?

I have cluster flush so be no different want to speed up the release of the cows from the parlour

Have it - first installed back in 2006. Upgraded it 2 years ago to the new claws and control boxes.

I wouldn't go without it now.

We put it in last year. As above wouldn't be without it now just the liners are expensive.

It's not that bad really. Maybe if you had a really small parlour

Does it save a lot of time? I spray first 6 or so then the gate is open

Hard to say but I wouldn't want to go without it now.

Its one less visit to a cow for the same amount of milk. Plus it makes training staff easier - the gate opens and the cows go. I don't have to worry about them spraying some too much, not enough or not at all.

Got a 25/50 so finding the release of the milked side slow by the staff

Yeah, the manifolds are a pain. They either snap off where the the pipes conect or leak through the the mould line. I might have replaced 6 including the original set we had.

Sounds positive like the idea of it to save a bit of time in parlour. What are the claws like to handle, not to clumsy or heavy?

One other thing - don't sign up for their consumables deal. They'll send you out your spray and liners when they think you need it rather than when you want it.

If we listened to them we would need 3 liner changes in a year rather than just 2 or possibly even one.
