As you paint in an open fronted shed id be more worried about the flies doing backstroke in your perfect factory finish that you stride yourself to acheive everytimeBit impratical rubbing an entire chassis down...tedious in fact
wheel centers and large flat surfaces yes, rub down, but i wouldnt bust my rubbish to rub and entire chassis down to make it look shinier than it did when it was new
Only if its dryed for a day say, you have to key the primer up for the top coat to biteI rub down between coats of primer, do I need to?

This time your are wrong
As we paint that much in 1 go and 2 coats of high build the over spray can settle on the chassis
So a simple rub over removes the over spray and thus keys the surface aswell because we aint painting a wet on wet its simple really no hard ship just crack on stop moaning and get it done
2k primer is so easy to rub down as that is what its made for why use 2k and not use it for what its deigned for change the tune will you.
For your information there is something called blow past so that creates over spray mr perfect!!!Over spray
you want to learn to spray properly by the sound of it, or are you another one of those who likes to hear the compressor running flat out all day....
you dont need 45lb at the end of the gun to make a decent job, you see these lads spraying in a huge cloud of paint mist, all they are doing is costing themselves money
wasting paint, wasting electric
If i could afford your prices id send the 1490 down. Il like to see you rub every sqaure inch of the chassis down with a bit of scotchbrite, and i mean all of it, underneath, pipes, the lot. I might even time you doing it...chances are it would change your views about rubbing down being easy
