JD 4cyl 6000 series, 6300, 6400 etc

Are they what there cracked up to be?
Main things to watch for?
Anybody got one for sale?
And yes I've Findlay convinced dad that a 4cyl would do[emoji1360]

Very good tractors, but their over 20 years old now! Or very close. problems? Head gasket especially 6400's that have been turned up and used hard. Gearbox? Very reliable, but the plates delaminate if the oil isn't changed often enough. rear lift arm cross shaft splines wear out. At this kind of age your going to get things like the radiator leaking, control cables failing etc. FOR SALE.? I'll never sell mine!

All positive then!
Mostly small problems! Would be getting gone through front to back anyway!
Not going to do very much/ any proper work anyway!
Seems hard to fine!

5130 is a far superior tractor ;)

But then we're back to the "it's to long" problem[emoji19]and tbh Deere is always going to be top of my list[emoji57]
Dad must be the most indecisive person on earth I can't even properly look for anything because he keeps changing his mind![emoji35][emoji23]
