Anybody remember the episode where Dai " helps" to load export tractors ( Ford 3000 / MF 135's etc ) onto a lorry ? Nearly ended badly IIRC ?:LOL:

When you consider we have Cefn Gwlad, Ffermio, Fferm Ffactor (dire as it is) Y Sioe Fawr, and Y Ffair Aeaf (coverage from the RWAS Show & Winter Fair) and the occasional program following the smaller regional shows during the summer, we are very lucky in Wales as far as Agricultural TV coverage goes... Dai apparently swears like a blind cobbler when off camera :)

Fferm factor, I'm pretty surprised that Prof Wynne Jones has agreed to work on what basically is a game of "it's a knockout" with some pretty basic farming general knowledge quiz mixed in, that some of the contestants, and none of the other presenters know the answers to off the top of their heads. We can't watch it to be honest, it's w4nk. The scope is there for Prof Jones to present a practical programme looking at different farming systems in Wales, efficiencies and cost cutting etc, he'd ace that, it's more befitting of a man with his industrial experience.

Mate had Dai round, and said he was pretty uninterested off camera, nor very talkative either. Dai's seen it all though, best stock, shiny tractors. Cefn Gwlad in the 80's and early 90's was about country characters, genuine folk. As I've said on another similar thread is Cefn gwlad is just "look at me and how I spend my SFP" a lot of the time these days.

Did he mention that his nephew has a flock of Easycares on the farm next door to his? Probably one of the best flocks in the country.

No to be honest, I hardly spoke as I was sat on the combine for the 2 days, but we did have a good drink on the final night with dai and the camera crew....but not a lot of farming was talked about.

Is this nephew you?

No, his nephew is John Davies who regularly has the highest price for tups in Worcester. One of the nicest and funniest people you'll ever meet.
