Rumours

Good to hear and good luck with the new venture, the bit I'd heard quoted by another dealer did not involve anyone at pontesbury, rather the new dealer in Shrewsbury.

And in case you hadn't noticed, this topic is turning into a bit of a farce, in fact it probably did a long time ago so don't take too much notice of what some of us post here.
Thank you

LAMMA moving to the NEC for 2019..? fact or fiction...?
Talking to a tractor manufacturer rep today he says it's no secret that a lot of the trade would like to see one big show at somewhere like the NEC, he said they'd like to see it as a combination of more than one of the big events they currently do, the NEC may be expensive but if they could cut down the number of events they attend it would be cheaper for them. He said this certainly wouldn't be happening next year, he didn't know if or when but the ground next to LAMMA on Peterborough is being developed for housing and that it's no big secret that some of that ground was also earmarked for development at some point so Peterborough was unlikely to be a long term venue.

What may happen and when is yet to be decided but it's likely something will change in the next few years.

Speaking with foreman at local case dealers thismorning, horsch being sold through class dealers in the SE, but still through them up here (NE) kubota have baught simba/great plains and KV, some Kv ploughs coming out in orange paint job already, and there will be no change to their case area even with Everett & Marshall becoming case dealers at Hexham

Is there any need for trade shows now? I've not been to Lamma since its last year at Newark and not been to cereals for 3 or 4 years. What exactly am I missing?

If your looking at something it's on the manufacturers website to get basic info. Then ask on a forum for user opinions. Then go to the locals dealers to see it or get a demo and then get quotes. I'm not sure what place trade shows have any longer, the same as agricultural magazines.
