6kw wind turbine

you are allowed to generate 16A per phase without a grid connection so for single phase it works at about 3.65kw, with PV 4kw is installed but the inverter is locked to 16A max,
with three phase it works out at about 11.5kw but once again with PV it is rounded off at 12kw because the inverter is locked to 16A max per phase. with wind the rules are the same 16A per phase max and you do not need a grid connection but you do need planning.
the 11kw gaia comes in just under the radar for requiring a grid connection.

have a look at their web site to see the production data if they have any. it will give you an idea of production, better still there are plenty of them about so ask someone who already has one. the blades fall off the larger ones but the 6kw one is ok.

The product has survived in nearly most countries around the world .
Gordon Proven the inventor and product company died and the company fell but was then taken over to new heights by world re-known Kingspan .
You only got to look at how many "new turbine "companies have come and gone and these keep going .

Thanks for that, I do remember looking at a Proven at the Great Yorkshire Show one year and then the next it was nowhere to be seen. The relative simplicity compared to others does look appealing and it appears that reported hinge and blade problems were probably overstated by rival designs. Just because the blade design is not optimised to get every last ounce of power out of the wind (which is free and sustainable) does not really matter on this scale [emoji41]

The problems were with the very early 15kw model and longer blades but they sorted that.
The rival companies had and are having much worst troubles than that?
All these companies come and go but the proven one carries on.
Don't think Kingspan would have bought a "lemon"- do you ???
