Along with a few other ailments I get regularly with my nerves feeling sick is by far the worst. Usually during night and first thing when I wake up. Could take hour after breakfast before it goes. But then cause of the feeling it makes me not want to eat. I'm on a tablet at bedtime for nerves but has this feelings before I started the tablets. Just wondering if anyone had any tips to ease it Abit as getting to me these last few weeks

If it's anxiety related sometimes breathing exercises can help. I can't remember the pattern but something like breathing in through the nose for a count of 4 and out through the mouth for 3. Google it for specifics. Or sometimes just trying to get on and ignore it. I used to be hopeless if woken suddenly or early, but two kids and being married to a dairy farmer has cured me of that! You have my sympathy, anxiety is hard work.

Thanks. I'm convinced it worried related. It's one thing that bugs me the most. Can come on any time when get worked up or under pressure to much. It's sort of my release. When it's that kind it's slightly more bearable but when it's when wake up straight away it's the worse

Try taking magnesium supplements, it helps mussells relax. what you probably have is tension in your stomach, and this in turn can affect your mental health. try it, for the sake of a few pounds it might work. worked for me. i don't get anyway near as worked up as i used to when there's pressure on.

It's adrenaline related, used to be sick before rugby matches, once all over my classmates, we did win though!

For me it lessened, though I still feel a little sick before an interview, once it starts I am fine. The worst part was the waiting.

I hate waiting to. If have to be somewhere at certain time I'd rather just get going half hour early and be here well before due time. Even small things like waiting for phone calls can get to me :/

If am similar, and while I know that a) it is due to my "nerves" and b) I am not going to *actually* be sick (probably) then a few minutes just resting before the days rush help. For other days, I have some tables called mebeverine (?) which stop / reduce stomach cramping. That's in addition to things like liquorice tea and the like. A warm fruit tea is actually really quite good.

Sought the causes of the stress out, and your health will get better.
Easier said than done i know.

Agree with above. It sounds like classic anxiety. You need to go and see someone; perhaps for some CBT or just a chat. Go privately if you can afford it - ask around or google up a local counsellor to talk to. Have just one session to try and see if you get on. You also have to rule out any food influences; late meals, fatty or spicy foods. The rugby example is a good one. Jonny Wilkinson was a nervous, vomiting, wreck before all of his teenage games - and suffered throughout his career in a similar way. If that sick feeling disappears once the day / game / task is underway then you can see why it's your brain - a mental stimulus that's giving you a physical reaction. There's absolutely no shame in talking about it - as you have done here - that's a good step forward but you can sort it out, manage it, and get it to the back of your mind. So many people suffer in silence - ask around! There is no stigma.

I'm 100% sure the sick feelings is all due to anxiety and my worrying. Seen
Counsellors for years when I was younger and been on a few different tablets. So Worked some made me worse. I'm due a re think on my tablets probably as been 4 or more years since had them changed. It's goijf to doctors is the hard part

Just read this. I get this and over the years I've realised that it's not a sick feeling, it's hunger. I can't tell the difference in myself when I feel hungry and when I feel sick. But if I feel sick and think when did I last eat then I can work out that it will be hunger. If I feel sick and I've recently eaten then I know to go and get a bucket.
