I vaguely recall a discussion a while back on here regarding the application of molasses onto the growing cereal crop, could the wiser folk on here tell me the benefits from doing this, roughly the sort of rates needed, and the best sort of molasses to run through the sprayer.... thanks in advance.

£636 for 1000 lt IBC, got it through Mike Harrington last year.

is it just molasses or anything else in it ? seems that as son as molasses is sold to an arable farmer the price rises over what it costs as an animal feed ?

any livestock guys here ? what do you pay for feed molasses ?

Feed molasses is approximately 34p/lt delivered to me in ibc's @Clive , but I am having to pay more to get triple filtered molasses for putting in with the liquid fert

Triple filtered cane from ED & F Man. No problems through the sprayer yet, not done any through the drill, though someone else got some at the same time and not having any problems with it.

benefit is to stimulate soil biology by feeding the bugs and improve soil health. cost of LCBF-Boost (proven formula with high-carbon sugars/ yeasts etc) is £636/1000 litres, so 20L/ha is £12.72/ha. see www.qlfagronomy.co.uk

Boost as far as I am led to believe is a little more than just molasses
Gary Zimmer has a lot of involvement with the formulation of the product, it has been tested at Wisconsin University over the last 7 yrs with impressive results, I had a really good meeting with a chap from qlf from the states last year which did win me over to the product , so I am looking forward to my own results this year.

I have molale which is cane molasses I believe cost £140/t

What rate would you put it on at? I'm abit worried about sticking it in the sprayer!
