Agree with all that has been said. Just bought a new Albutt Bale Grab from them, excellent service and Phillip is a star to deal with. Always a very competitive price first time.
If you want some entertainment go and visit Philip in the office. I'll wager you won't see a busier ag machinery salesman anywhere in the country, the guy is simply amazing.

Fully agree. Hardly off the phone for a full minute and likes to deal NOW and not some time never. He and his other sales team sure keep the lorry's and the fitters busy. The yard is way to small for the size of the business tho and how busy it is. Machine's that they sell are all ways installed to the highest standards to make sure everything you need to know for operating and safety has been fully explained even if it's secondhand.
There parts back up is amazing as well as so much stock is kept and Martin and team are just so helpful;).

Agree with everything people have said, great firm to deal with, nothing's too much trouble and if they don't know an answer they will phone manufacturer, find out and phone you back, fitters are top class and backup parts excellent.. Their yard is on the small side and could do with extra space but then they take you up to their second yard up the road and it's like at least five or ten of everything they sell lined up that's too big to store in the yard.

I've bought many things over the years from there, Phillp is easy to deal with and very willing, but I will not deal with my area rep as at his last place of employment he treated me like something on his shoe.

But when I had issues with a krone tedder and poor welding, I received no back up what so ever from them or krone. I'm afraid its a machinery supermarket.

My local dealer of spares is an ignorant swine.
I elected to find an alternative supplier. Called Halse, they didn't have the parts in stock, but had them sent promptly direct from McConnell.
Great chaps too...(y)

I was about to give up on Lucas straw bedders as Irish importer is a waste of time. Talking to a Bff member he advised Halse. Had parts on shelf dispatched same day. Irish importer told me same parts would take 6 months and the French!!??
Halse said Lucas are so easy to deal with that a recent delivery of Lucas bedders came in with euro hitch draw bars not UK/ pick up hitch rings. Within 4 hrs a courier arrived with proper hitches and an ammendment was made to invoice for error.
Very honest guys, glad to see a firm like that these days.

Any one else attended there open day of their new site yesterday or going today?
I went yesterday and what a wonderful range of equipment they had on display and what a fantastic new layout it is.
Very nice free hog roast as well(y).
Think it's open until 10pm again tonight.

Wishing Halse of Honiton or now "Halse South West" Philip and staff many happy years of trading from their new site(y)
