The kids have a flock of 40 ewes as their little pocket money enterprise. How much should they expect to pay. They will roll and pack.

If I was local and it was cash then yea!Probably around £2+ each. Would you go and shear 40 sheep for only £80?

Did I say that out loudAnd defraud the tax man !?! .
My gardener is charging me 35 quid an hour for him and an assistant. He said an electrician costs that for one man. I seem to think my electrician cost me more than that.
I would say sheep clipping was a nice little earner...Why are farmers are so out of touch , we see it time and again with hedgecutting / shearing / baling , falling over ourselves to be cheapest down to minimum wage never mind the kit worth £££ , then paying top dollar for grass keep and the like , We all deserve to go bust
you knock yourself out , I hate the job but its got to be done , 300 +purebred 90kg plus char sheep at the end of lambing, i could do without , but as our flock is in so many small blocks (46) it makes mustering for a shearer a logistic headache . If it was for someone else small scale i would want £40 an hourI would say sheep clipping was a nice little earner...
I don't clip sheep, I get two lads in to clip mine....my job is shoving 90 kilo texels up the ramp all day...I know who's the most knackered by the end of the day....and I'm out of pocketyou knock yourself out , I hate the job but its got to be done , 300 +purebred 90kg plus char sheep at the end of lambing, i could do without , but as our flock is in so many small blocks (46) it makes mustering for a shearer a logistic headache .
