Ok, so you have an ipad air 2 for 3 years? Wow. Motherboard/ battery goes on everything after 2 years except yours. Have you looked at the ram mounts or John Deere. Look at newegg ie.

It will fit all iPads not just air 2 I've no idea which mine is but it's lasted this long the boy I work with iPad is the old one with the old style charger his is still going strong, maybe you need to get off yours for 5 mins and it might last longer

No. Its a common problem with air 2s. Its a chip on the mother board that goes bad. They say its the battery but its not. Go onto new egg. BIL says its a matter of choice, position and preference. He and my brother are both apple people.
