Animal cruelty

As part of their campaign, most Vegan Groups use terrible videos showing animal abuse and cruelty, however most of these are not in the UK.

Recently they have used video's that show dates, locations and times, some of these ARE in the UK, and quite frankly they are shocking.

Currently the Vegan Groups are making slow headway, however it would be foolish to ignore them, especially as a few idiots are fuelling their campaign.

In my view, we should all take a hard-line on Animal abuse and cruelty, and if challenged by these videos in the UK, we can only agree it is wrong and support the charging of those involved.

We should not be seen trying to defend the few who are a blight to our Industry.

If we start condemning everything that fanatical vegan groups describe as cruel, we will be sliding down the slippery slope of waving goodbye to all livestock.

Yes, there are some cruel and illegal things that happen within the UK livestock sector, which should be fought by the agriculture industry as a whole, but pandering to the lunatic fringe is not the way forward.

Always winds me up when people say "Im a vegetarian, but i eat a bit of chicken now and again", not comprehending that cheap supermarket chicken is the most intensively produced meat available.

Cruelty and abuse is the same if your a vegan, vegi, omnivore, herbivore or carnivore. Any cruelty or abuse should be stamped out, or it will be used against us all, it has nothing to do with pandering to a lunatic fringe, but it may be pandering to them if we continue to allow it.

Looking for fishing hooks made of rubber so as not to be cruel.
Anyone know where I can get them? Also need a euthanasia kit for said fish.
Not sure about their pain threshold but have never heard them moan.

I think you're absolutely wrong and have completely missed the point.

Cruelty and abuse have become entirely subjective.

To a vegan, simply milking a cow makes you a rapist and eating a bacon sandwich makes you a murderer.

Back on Planet Earth, neither of these things are inherently cruel.

Subjectiveness is influenced by human feelings I agree, however Cruelty is Cruelty, and as you rightly say ' on planet earth ' my point is simple.

Unless we stamp out the ' planet earth ' interpretation of animal abuse and cruelty, we play into their hands.

Absolutely agree.

Once the hardline vegan agenda becomes accepted by the mainstream, we have lost.

If the vegan voice is ever loud enough to influence the democratic process, we will be up the creek.

This is why we should be fighting PETA's lies all the way.
